*Between 60-150 million kids live on the streets
*One in six children die before their fifth birthday.
*One in ten children die before their first birthday.
*Half the children in Ethiopia will never attend school; 88% will never attend secondary school
*In the 1980's one million Ethiopians died of starvation
*Some areas still practice female circumcision
*82% of the population survives on less than 1 dollar a day
*Only 24% of households have access to safe drinking water
*Ethiopia’s doctor to children ratio is 1 to 24,000
*Children and family are honored above all else
*1 in 3 people are HIV+, the average life expectancy is 37

September 26, 2008- Ohio readoption court hearing
April 12, 2008- Home forever :)
April 2- Leave for Ethiopia!!!!!
March 20- Embassy date scheduled for 4/08
March 6- Successful court date!!!!
Feb 18- Kaleb has been moved to Addis
Feb 12- Senite has been moved to Addis
Jan 24- Dossier sent to Ethiopia
Jan 24- Accepted referral for Kaleab!
Jan 17- CWA gets dossier from DC
Jan 14- pd $7650 to CWA
Jan 14- Dossier sent to DC
Jan 8- CWA approved dossier
Jan 4, 2008- sent copy of Dossier to CWA for approval
Dec 6- Homestudy completed
Sept. 17- 1st payment to CWA
Sept. 11- started home study
Aug 2 - applied to CWA
July 16, 2007- Requested Photolist of Waiting Children
